The best advice I can give you for a windy photo session?

Lean into it.

That’s what Elsie and Liam did during their session on the Staten Island Ferry. The wind was doing its thing—catching their hair, jackets flying, and making everything feel alive. It was so real and effortless and gave me all of the movement I hope for with every photo session I typically take on.

Elsie and Liam’s session was my last stop before my flight back to Kansas City, and the ferry gave us the best of NYC—no crowds, iconic views, and just the right amount of chill. Elsie’s hair, Liam’s coat, everything had this cool, dramatic vibe that was just too good.

And the best part?

Those in-between moments. Laughing at the wind, holding onto each other for warmth—that’s where the magic really is.
